You guys!!! The first quarter is literally almost gone 😮😮. Where is the time flying to? 😥😥. Can someone tell it to please slow down?
2019 seems to be a fast moving year and it won’t be too long until we’re mid year or celebrating another CHRISTMAS 😁😁.
I didn’t say that to scare you ladies or give you a mini panic attack, I said it to give a bit of perspective.
At the beginning of the year, most of us made plans, plans of what we wanted to achieve this new year. We were said we were going to finally lose the 20 pounds, shed the baby weight of our now three year old toddler, get a stronger core and wat healthier.
We probably kept to the plan for about 10 days into the new year. We drank our water, worked out, ate right and gave ourselves, a pat on the back.
Fast forward to this evening and we’re dehydrated, we can’t remember when we last we ate a portion of veggies and food and we don’t even want to talk about the pizza and chips we had for dinner last night.
Some of us are already putting off our weightloss by a whole year and saying 2020 we try again because we’ve made too many mistakes already.
Take a chill pill sis. I’m sure you tried your best. I’m sure you tried to make out the time. I’m sure you tried to meal prep but somehow, things just didn’t go as planned and that’s okay.
We’re only on day 56 of 365 and as such, you have more than ample time to turn the year around. You have enough time to begin to sleep well, drink your water, eat healthy and generally do better for your health.
Now let’s actually break it down. To solve a problem, you need to first determine what is not working and what is! What mistakes did you make in January and throughout February?
Perhaps you didn’t eat healthy because you didn’t meal prep and so when you were hungry, you reached for what was available.
Maybe you didn’t Workout because you were tired in the morning and that because you didn’t go to bed to early trying to catch up with two series and scrolling on social media.
You probably didn’t drink enough water because you didn’t send the hourly reminder on your phone to remind you.
There could be a thousand and one reasons why You’re not doing better for your health but one sure way to solve the problem, is to first determine what went wrong.
Once you’ve determined exactly what you did wrong, it’s time to think up solutions to prevent it from happening again.
If you do not go to bed early because of your kids then maybe it’s time to sleep train to he in bed at 8pm sharp. If your new born wakes you up at night then maybe it is time to move make use of that stroller you bought and taking long walks with the baby strapped in. If healthy food bored you then maybe you should do research and attend online classes on how to cook healthy meals.
What ever the problem is, find the solution to it.
And now, just do it. At the risk of sounding like a Nike Ad, all that remains is for your to actually do the plan.
It is time to put into practice, all that you have discovered, learned, gathered and planned.
Don’t let 2019 be another year of postponement, putting off or stopping completely. If peradventure you make a mistake, get right back into it.
Let this be the year you follow through on those plans.
Cheers to a year of winning and transformation.
