How Temi Lost 11.3kg, Rebuilt Her Confidence, And Regained Her Strength
There’s something I always say to the women in my community:
Weight loss is not just about the number on the scale.
It’s also more about rebuilding trust with yourself again. And Temi’s journey is one of the most powerful examples of that.
When Temi joined April Laugh Fitness, she was exhausted — physically, emotionally, and mentally. Like many women, she had spent years trying everything she could think of to lose weight.
- Water fasting.
- Extreme restriction.
- Intermittent fasting pushed to unhealthy extremes.
At one point, things became so severe that she ended up in the hospital because of the complications those methods caused. And honestly? Sadly, this is more common than people think.
So many women are desperate for quick results that they end up punishing their bodies instead of supporting them. But when Temi came into the program, the goal was never punishment.
The goal was sustainability.
“I needed something I could actually maintain.”
That was one of the biggest mindset shifts Temi experienced during her journey. Instead of chasing fast, dramatic results, she began focusing on structure, consistency, and realistic habits she could maintain beyond a few weeks.
No extremes.
No starvation.
No “starting again every Monday.”
Just small, repeatable habits done consistently. And over time, those habits changed everything.
Building structure changed her life
One thing Temi spoke about during our conversation was how much structure helped her. Before joining the program, healthy living felt chaotic and inconsistent. She would have moments of motivation, then completely fall off when life became stressful or overwhelming. But inside the program, she began creating non-negotiables.
Meal prepping on Sundays became part of her routine.
Workouts stopped being optional “if I feel like it” activities and became commitments to herself.
And that shift is powerful.vBecause motivation comes and goes.
Structure is what carries you on the days you don’t feel motivated.

The transformation was bigger than weight loss
Over the course of just three months, Temi lost 11.3kg, going from 99.9kg to 88.6kg. She also dropped a dress size. But the most beautiful part of her transformation wasn’t just the physical change. It was the way she started feeling again.
She spoke about:
- Having more energy
- Feeling mentally clearer and more focused
- Becoming stronger through strength training
- Feeling more confident in herself again
And that’s why I always remind women:
The scale only tells one part of the story. Real transformation is about your health, confidence, strength, mindset, and quality of life.
Why accountability matters more than people realise
Another major part of Temi’s success was accountability. Let’s be honest, consistency is hard when you’re trying to do everything alone.
There are days when motivation disappears.
Days when life feels overwhelming.
Days when old habits try to pull you backwards.
And during those moments, having support matters.
Temi shared how much the coaching, check-ins, and community helped her stay focused, especially on difficult days when she would normally have given up. That support helped her stop seeing setbacks as failure and start seeing them as part of the journey.
This is not about quick fixes
One thing I care deeply about is helping women build results that actually last.
Not temporary weight loss.
Not another extreme challenge.
Not another cycle of losing and regaining the same weight, but a real lifestyle.
That means:
- Learning how to nourish your body properly
- Building sustainable routines
- Strengthening your mindset
- Exercising in a way that supports your life
- Creating habits you can maintain long term. Because permanent results are built through consistency, not extremes.
A message for any woman reading this
If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of:
- starting over,
- trying extreme methods,
- feeling frustrated with your body,
- or believing it’s “too late” for you…
I want you to know this:
Transformation is possible.
But it starts with changing the way you approach your journey. Not through punishment but through structure, support, patience, and consistency.
Temi’s story is proof of that.
And maybe this is your sign to stop trying to do it alone.
