Beautiful Moments From Our Last Wellness Retreat

I do not have a long lesson for you today.

No tips. No strategies. No breakdown of what to eat or how to move or how to shift your mindset but just this.

A collection of moments from our last retreat that I have been carrying with me ever since. Moments that remind me why I do what I do every single time. Why I created these wellness retreats for women.

The moment they arrived

There is always a particular energy in the room when women first arrive at a retreat.

A mix of excitement and nerves. The quiet looking around — wondering who these people are, whether they will fit in, whether they made the right decision coming. Some women arrive alone. Some arrive with a friend. Some almost did not come at all.

Within hours, sometimes within minutes, something shifts.

They stop being strangers. And they start being sisters.

The food

Oh, the food.

Every meal was nourishing, delicious, and completely taken care of. No meal planning. No cooking. No standing in a kitchen after a long day trying to figure out what everyone is eating tonight.

Just beautiful, wholesome food; breakfast, lunch, and dinner served with care and enjoyed slowly. Around tables that stretched long into the evening because nobody wanted to leave.

One of the women messaged me after she got home. The first thing she mentioned before the workshops, the spa, or anything else was the food.

“The food was sooooo good.”

That made me so happy. Because unhurried nourishment is one of the things most of us are not giving ourselves enough of. And five days of being properly fed, in every sense of the word, is more powerful than most people realise.

The sisterhood

This is the part I cannot fully capture in words. But I will try.

There is a particular kind of connection that happens between women who are navigating the same season of life. Women who understand the specific weight of being strong for everyone else. Women who have been told explicitly or implicitly that wanting more for themselves is somehow selfish.

When those women find each other in a retreat setting, away from the noise and the demands of everyday life something extraordinary happens.

They talk. The kind of conversations that do not happen at school pickup or in the office or over a rushed phone call. The kind that go deep into the night because there is nowhere else to be and nothing else competing for attention.

They laugh. The kind of laughter that comes from somewhere genuinely free.

They cry. And they hold each other through it.

And by the last day, women who had arrived as complete strangers are exchanging numbers, making plans, and promising to show up for each other in ways that extend far beyond the five days they shared.

“The sisterhood, a community of women who want the same wellness lifestyle.”

That is exactly what it is. And it is one of the most beautiful things I have ever created. 💛

The moment nobody wanted it to end

I always know a retreat has done what it was supposed to do when the last morning arrives and nobody wants to pack their bags.

When women are lingering over breakfast, stretching out the final hours, looking at each other with the quiet understanding of people who have shared something significant and are not quite ready to leave it behind.

“Overall the environment was so relaxing and I did not want the entire retreat to end or go home.”

That is not a review. That is a testimony. And it is one I hear in some form or another after every single retreat I host.

Because what happens in those five days is not just relaxation. It is restoration. A returning to yourself. A remembering of who you are beneath all the roles and responsibilities you carry every single day.

And that feeling of being restored, refilled, and reconnected to yourself is something worth coming back for.

Which is exactly why one of the women from our last retreat has already booked her spot for Lanzarote.

When I asked her what was bringing her back she simply said “coming back to a well chilled time away from my usual routine for a special wellness retreat.”

She came once. And she knew immediately that she would come again.
